You entered the world on August 25, 2009 and have brought nothing but joy ever since.
Watching you grow as you absorb the world around you, and are so inquisitive and delighted to learn with that intense love of playing sports, I'm reminded daily of the treasure that you bring to my life. The saying goes "The days are long but the years are short.". This is never more true than when I look at you.
You have matured so much lately and transformed from a little boy into this big kid who wants to do everything independently. Your kindness shines as you are always looking out for and trying to take care of others to ensure that everyone around you is happy.
You recently started 1st grade. Just typing that creates tears in my eyes, but I could not be more proud of how well you are doing and how smart you are.
You still live for sports and just started your 4th soccer season. You played another season of baseball in the Spring, and you are a great swimmer.
Your favorites:
Color- blue
Food- mac and cheese
Toy- football and soccer ball
Sport- baseball and soccer
Movie- Planes
Place to Eat- Red Robin
Song- House Party by Sam Hunt
It is unbelievable to me that I'm now the mother of a 6 year old. I must constantly remind myself as you are growing older, bigger, wiser, and more mature that you are doing exactly what God intended for you to do. These bittersweet moments and milestones are HIS plan and so we celebrate because we are thankful for his blessings on your life.
This year for your birthday, I have 6 wishes for you...
This year for your birthday, I have 6 wishes for you...
1. Set goals and strive toward them. Work hard. It will pay off, even if it's down the road. Hard work always pays off.
2. Keep your friendly and joyful personality. You never meet a stranger. You'll never know when your smile and conversation might make a difference in someones day. Be a light everyday.
3. Keep your competitiveness and determination, but remember to embrace the challenges. As much as I would love to see you always succeed, that's not reality. There will always be challenges and losses. Failures are where your character will be built. This will serve you well in life because life isn't always easy.
4. Learn at every single opportunity. Never stop learning. Read, ask questions, and try new things. Once you have learned something and know it well, share your knowledge. Teach others. Don't keep it to yourself. Learning is a gift and teaching is a privilege.
5. Be faithful. Believe in your amazing creator. Seek his path for your life, and follow it everyday.
6. Be the best YOU that you can be, and be proud of yourself because you were created with intent for a special purpose. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. There is no one else like you.
I am so honored and thankful that God chose me to be your mom. What a blessing he had in store!! You are loved beyond measure. Happy 6th birthday!
Love,
Mom
