2014 Year End Review part 1- January-July

The years are flying by more quickly it seems.  2014 was no exception.  It was a good one.  Lots of growing and learning. I always do a year end post before I have my blog printed for the year.  This blog was created as a "baby book" when Hudson was a baby, and I like to have paper copies each year to look back on.
 Happy New Year!! Welcome 2015!!

January
We started off the year with snow!! It was exciting and fun.  Hudson and I even got out of school for several days.
The futurity came to town and the kids enjoyed going to watch the horses as well as see all the cowboys and cowgirls.  They even got new boots!

February

We celebrated Dave's 36th birthday in February with a Duck Dynasty cake that Hudson picked out.
This month also brought the most severe ice storm that we have ever seen in our area.  The whole city was crippled, most without power for nearly a week.  It was COLD, and a tough time for all.  We were out of school for 3 more days.  It looked like a war zone. Power lines and trees down in every street.

March

We celebrated Charlotte's 2nd birthday and Rara's birthday too.  We went to Alabama for Ella's 7th birthday and met baby Jackson for the first time.
Hudson started his tee ball season.

Hudson had a St. Patty's Day parade at his school, and also had a skating party at school.

April

April started off with a fun Masters Week and Spring Break.  We celebrated Easter, played lots of ball, and I had a great 34th birthday.  Hudson went to his first concert, Darius Rucker when he came for ROCK for DOUGH during Masters.

May

We finished up the school year in May.  Hudson graduated from PreK and I completed my 11th year of teaching.  We had Spring family pictures taken, and celebrated Mothers Day.

June

Our favorite month!!! Summer has officially arrived.  We kicked the summer off at the lake, and spent lots of time in the pool, outside, and in the sprinklers.  We had Vacation Bible School at our church, and Hudson did a week long baseball camp.  Ila and Claire both turned 5 and had fun parties. We finished up the month with a trip to the water park in Statesboro.  It was tons of fun and made for a quiet ride back with 3 tired little ones.

July

On July 1st we said goodbye to our old friend, Chipper.  He was the best cat ever and I had him for 15 years.  It was his time, but we sure were sad to see him go.
We celebrated Independence Day at the lake with our best friends.  We did lots more swimming and hanging out at the pool.
We went on our annual beach trip, and Hudson had such a good time with Papa and Rara.  One of our favorite things to do at the beach was riding bikes.  We had such a great week.
At the end of the month, it was time for soccer evaluations again.  Another soccer season starting.
