Hudson-vs-Bumbo Seat

We have been so busy lately, and I know I've neglected the blog. Every weekend is filled with fun events to celebrate our friends' life changes. Birthday parties, wedding showers, weddings, and baby showers have allowed us reconnect with old friends. Yesterday was Emily's wedding shower and Melissa's 30th birthday party. It was so fun to catch up with everyone!

My little man continues to grow like a weed. He's sleeping 9-10 hours at night, and is talking more and more. He comes up with new "tricks" everyday. The other day, I sat him in his Bumbo seat so that I could unpack his bag and pack it for the next day. He was playing with a toy, and I noticed that the toy had quit making noise. I looked up just in time to see him climbing (or shall I say DIVING) out of the Bumbo seat WITH the tray on it. He had figured out how to get his leg up and work his way out. I put him in it again later that night to see if he would do it again, and he did. Guess he defeated the Bumbo chair. Looks like I won't be able to use it anymore to keep him in one place.
Each morning as I dry my hair, Hudson sits in his bouncy seat outside my bathroom door and we "talk". Well, this is what I saw one morning last week....

He sits straight up in the bouncy now, and refuses to lay back. Most of the time he leans all the way over to get his feet and chew on them. He's really close to sitting independently on a blanket, so I guess we will be putting up all of these seats soon.
The boy loves his juice, and has officially mastered his sippy cup. He likes doing it all by himself.

Aunt Lori sent Hudson an awesome package this week. He got his first pair of Reef's, his first swim suit, and his first St. Patty's Day outfit. We can't wait to wear all of it, but we are super excited about wearing the flip flops and swim suit. C'MON SUMMER!!!!!!!!!

Hudson and Claire got out one day over the week. Even though it was a little chilly, it didn't stop these little bears from enjoying being outside. Aren't they adorable?

Tomorrow is Dave's 32nd birthday. Since he's off on Mondays, he will be spending the day with Hudson. It's a special birthday for him because it's his first one as a Daddy. I wish I could spend the day with them. I must go to work, but at least I get to look forward to coming home to this....
