It's GREAT to be a GEORGIA BULLDAWG!

It's no secret that the GA/FLA game is the most anticipated game of our season. This game is always played in Jacksonville, so we are on their turf. Even though it's supposed to be a "neutral" location, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that Jacksonville (hour and a half from Gainsville and 6 hours from Athens) is NOT a neutral location. Oh well, that's just the way it is. Anyways, the Gators are our biggest rivals, and the game is always one where we are on pins and needles. This year was no exception. We played less than stellar, and looked awful, but the best news is..... WE WON!!!!!! Hearing some of FLA's head coach's statements this year have really added fuel to this fire. "I guarantee you we will beat Georgia", and "I'm on the winning side of things now." are just a few statements that led GA fans to believe that we HAD to win this game. I saw a picture of him walking off the field after the game yesterday looking totally defeated. Under the picture was this quote..."Appreciate where you came from as you work your way up, chances are you will see them again on your way DOWN." I also found the following picture floating around on Facebook. I'm not sure who to give credit to for it, but it made me smile. The past few years have not been our best, but we will always love and support our Dawgs, and our coach. I'm so glad that we have a good christian man as a head coach with great moral chracter as well. As this year's GA/FLA weekend comes to a close, all I have to say is "It's GREAT to be a GEORGIA BULLDAWG!!!

Hudson says..."GO DAWGS!"

26 months

Hudson, you are 26 months old today. You are a wild, rip roarin', little man who has no fear. You never cease to amaze us, and fill every day with lots of joy. You love cars, trucks, planes, helicopters, boats,Lightning McQueen, Tow-Mater, and playing ball. You are ALWAYS playing some kind of ball. Rice is your favorite food along with fruit. You aren't too crazy about vegetables, and it's hard to get you to eat them. You love Claire and Ila Jane, and talk about them all the time. You are hilarious with the things that you come up with and say, and you have recently started to remember everything. We can't get anything past you. Your vocabulary is well beyond your short 2 years, and you shock us with the things that you say. You love doing your flash cards and request to do them several times a day. You already know the three packs that we have, so I need to get you some new ones. You like animals and request to go see Jake and Peanut at "Papa's house" pretty much everyday. You love playing with Papa. He's taught you how to hit the ball off of a tee, and even how to hit it without the tee. You've spent your fair share of time in time out lately, but if we start counting in a firm voice, you will say "okay", and do what you were asked to do. You've grown almost an inch in the past month, and you are wearing 2t/3t clothing. You wear a size 9 shoe, and prefer to wear your boots.....all the time. You never stop talking. Thank goodness you are still a great sleeper at night and still take a nap every afternoon.
You are so much fun, and this is such a great age. I know I say it all the time, but it's so true...we are so blessed and lucky that God chose us to be your parents. We love you sweet boy.

Elmo loves his goldfish...his crayons (and pumpkin) too...

On Saturday we headed back to the pumpkin patch with Ila Jane. Hudson had so much fun there last weekend, so we decided to go back. This particular one is at a church, and all of their profit from pumpkin sales goes towards missions. I can't think of a better place to purchase our pumpkins.

We chose a few for carving, then headed across the street to the Columbia County Library's Fall Festival. We got there soon after they opened and it wasn't too crowded yet. We did not have to wait long for the kids to ride the rides. This was the first time Hudson has ever been on "rides", so I was a little nervous, but he really enjoyed them.

I love this picture of him and Dave. I bet they were talking about riding the ponies. That's what he really wanted to do and was very excited to get on one.

He chose the biggest one to ride this time, and was so happy. He's still talking about riding the ponies.

Here they are on the little train. Hudson was getting tired at this point. Can't you tell?

We went home and H had a nap, then we headed over to Erin and Jarvis' house to carve pumpkins and have dinner. Hud and Ila had so much fun playing outside. They came in to "check on the pumpkins" every so often.

Here's the final products. Hudson chose Elmo a few days prior to us carving and would never change his mind, so Elmo it was. Jarvis did the GA one, and Erin did the silly face. I think they turned out cute.

After dinner, we let the kids "make cookies". They loved these little pumpkin ones, and they were perfect and easy (and tasty too).

Today after church we stopped by a local gift shop that was having their holiday open house. Santa was there, and you could bring your own camera and take pictures. As you can tell, my little guy does not like Santa any more this year than he did last. Oh well.

Pumpkin Patch

Hudson had a great time today at the pumpkin patch. We had wonderful weather today after a week's worth of dreary rain. He had so much fun running around and playing that it was really hard for me to get pictures. Here are some action shots of the fun trip.

The DAWGS won again tonight! YAY!

Dairy Farm and another DAWGS WIN!

We are fortunate to have Steed's Dairy Farm very close to our home. It's a functioning dairy farm that has a corn maize, and LOTS of fun stuff for little kids. It's very clean, and we loved going last year which was the first year that it was open. We planned out trip weeks ago with friends and have been very excited about it since. The weather was perfect for a Fall day. Hudson had a great time with Ila and Ellie. We plan to go back soon.
The goats in the petting zoo like to get up close and personal.
They love each other, and needed to stop for a quick hug.

At the chicken coop. You should have heard all of their chicken sound effects! Too funny!

He found the pumpkin that he liked.

They were trying to figure out how to milk this cow. I love how determined and concentrated they are.

Can you tell how happy they are to be on the pony ride?
See? SO excited!!!

wheee!!!

I love these next few pictures. We were doing everything to try to get all three of them to sit AND look at the same time. How funny are these?

high up on top of the sand mountain...

This make me laugh.

He wanted to go down the big slide over and over.
rubber ducky races!

playing in the corn box...

on the hay ride out to see the cows....

The zip line was lots of fun.

Look at those cowgirls and the cowboy.

driving the old tractor...
again, trying to get them all to look at the camera at the same time

impossible to get a picture of all 4 of them..We were feeding the 2 yr. olds skittles in order to get them to sit still, but they were so tired at this point.

The day at the farm was lots of fun, and Saturday night was great too. Georgia played Tennessee AT Tenn, and we won. It was a great game (for the most part), and even greater that we beat them on the road. We love our Bulldogs and are so glad they are playing so well.

GO DAWGS!!!

Have a great week!
