We hoped to be going home today, but unfortunately that's not the case. Hudson had a good night until about 3am. He started making this horrible noise, and running fevers again. After meds, evaluations, and x-rays we've found that he has a pretty nasty throat infection due to being intubated for such a long time. He's quit eating and drinking, and they are trying to give him oral pain meds now due to the fact that he's been having some bad side effects from morphine. He got a breathing treatment and will continue to get meds to help with his throat. He's so pitiful today and it breaks my heart.
GOOD NEWS...The folley is removed and he's wetting his diapers regularly. WHAT A PRAISE!!! The drainage tube should come out tomorrow. Hopefully his throat will get well and he will start eating and drinking again so we can go home soon.
Please continue to pray. Pray for healing of his whole body, discomfort, and that he will start taking liquids and food.
Thank you so much again for all the love you have shown our family. It's so amazing to hear and SEE the power of prayer. We know there are going to be bumps in the road, but hopefully this is the last one. We have felt and seen your prayers this week and have been so encouraged by the support. I apologize for not answering every phone call, text or comment. Please know that we are getting them all and are so appreciative. We love our friends and family.
If you get a chance go to the wonderful, amazing, talented Haley Lamb's blog here. Hudson's one year pictures are up. I sure can't wait to get that boy in the pictures back.
